Inside the former Liquid Kitty space

There’s new life at the former Liquid Kitty in West LA, as the understated drink spot on Pico Boulevard flips into a new concept called Neat.

The long-running Liquid Kitty officially closed up last summer, leaving a gaping hole in the casual dive bar and punk scene out that way. But now comes the easy-drinking Neat, which focuses on classic cocktails and classier digs.

Wen Yeh, the backer at spots like BRU HAUS, West End, and The Belmont, is behind Neat, and says the place is looking to be a moodier neighborhood drink destination for a slightly pricier clientele. There’s both indoor and outdoor seating as well as a VIP section in the back, plus cocktail tables and room for more live music.

Right now, the plan is to do blues and rock bands from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. nightly, with daily hours from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m.. You’ll also find beer and wine on offer, with the full opening menu below. The official opening party is tomorrow, and no, for the record, they aren’t a new iteration of the former Glendale/North Hollywood bar of the same name.
