And, Labatt tries to boost its craft beer credentials.

— Diane Keaton now has her own wine in stores — appropriately called The Keaton — and it’s probably not going to wow any sommeliers. Keaton says the wine is meant to be consumed over ice, just the way she likes it. “I’m not sure when I started that,” Keaton tells People. “I think most likely since it was so hot in N.Y. when I lived there in the ’70s. I used to go on the balcony to cool down since my apartment didn’t have A.C. and one day I thought about trying it on ice. It has stuck ever since then!”

— If you know a vegetarian who gives you guff over your dining habits, just wait until they’re drunk to serve them some humble pie. A third of vegetarians break down and eat meat after they’ve a few drinks, according to a recent survey in Great Britain, and 69 percent lie to their friends and family about it. While you might want to gloat, the man who conducted the survey advises a magnanimous approach: “I think it’s important for friends of these ‘vegetarians’ to support them when drunk and urge them not to eat meat as I’m sure they regret it the next day.”

— Labatt, the iconic Canadian mega-brewer, is reaching into the country’s microbrewing market. The company is in the process of purchasing Toronto-based Mill Street Brewery, which “will really help expand awareness of craft across the country,” according to Labatt vice president of corporate affairs Charlie Angelakos. Labatt falls under the umbrella of Anheuser-Busch InBev, which was recently rejected in its bid to take over SABMiller.
